Karan Johar asked. They denied. He insisted. They slipped away. He cajoled. They held their ground. Nothing that this nippy talk show host did could bring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma to admit that they are a couple. They went on the offensive on each other, stating repeatedly that they couldn’t stand each other’s company! But as you all know, Bollywood is a strange place to be in. Days after such coy behavior, the couple stunned everyone with a steamy smooch on the dance floor!
The occasion was Shahid Kapoor’s birthday party. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma danced with each other all evening. Arms entwined, they close danced and set the temperature in the room to a steaming point. They danced to numbers from their box office hit ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ as well. The guests at Sasha’s party were in no doubt that this sizzling couple was more than just good friends. Finally the climactic moment came! Much like the physical relationship their reel avatars had in the film, Ranveer and Anushka got drunk and got smooching on the dance floor. People around them were shocked but no one was complaining!
Karan Johar may feel a little let-down by this. After all, he wants all the revelations to come from his black couch on the show. Ranveer and specially Anushka denied him that pleasure. But why announce their relationship at Shahid’s party when they had national TV at their disposal to do so? We think there’s more here than meets the eye. When Anushka was shooting for ‘Badmaash Company’ with Shahid, there were reports that the two were seeing each other. There could be some truth there after all! It may be that Anushka wanted to flaunt her man to her ex-boyfriend. If that is the case, you have to say that this girl is as spunky as the characters she plays onscreen.
