Kareena Makes Bizarre Request to Director!

We reported in an earlier post how Kareena Kapoor was playing hairstylist to costar Imran Khan on ‘Short Term Shaadi’. Here’s more news coming in from the same sets. Kareena apparently refused to have eggs in a breakfast scene for the film. The script was that Kareena was having breakfast with Imran Khan in an US café. The scene demanded that she has scrambled eggs. But Bebo put her foot down firmly.
Kareena said that she had quit eating non-veg food 6 years ago and she was not willing to have eggs for the scene. The director was adamant as Bebo requested, pleaded and finally threw a tantrum. At long large the director, Shakun Batra, relented and the scene was shot with her eating pancakes. Because of the number of retakes, Kareena apparently ended up eating 15 cakes!
When she was asked about this scene by the media, she downplayed the incident and stated that the director was very cooperative about the whole thing. She signed off, “Even if the scene required it, I won’t have such food. I have laid down that rule and explain my stance when I’m doing any film.”
