Versa-cheese: The collection of dresses made of melted cheddar

A group of students have stunned the fashion world by creating a range of dresses - made entirely out of cheese.
Five incredible creations have gone on display after young designers spent 1,000 hours and one tonne of cheese putting them together.
The cheese couture catwalk collection includes a ball gown encrusted with melted cheddar.

Designed by fashion and textile students at Bath Spa University, the outfits also come with 'Jimmy Cheese' shoes - also made from the strong-smelling dairy product.
They were heat moulded and sculpted into frocks and dresses using Pilgrims Choice Vintage, Extra Mature and Red Leicester cheeses.
Hannah Jenkins, from cheese company Pilgrims Choice which provided cheese for the dresses, claimed the inspiration from the collection had come from popstar Lady Gaga.

She said: 'Food has become a source of fashion inspiration - the world went Gaga for that famous meat ensemble.
'So we thought it was time to introduce cheese to the world of couture, and this amazing project with the Bath Spa University students has ensued.

'Their creativity and ingenuity has stunned us, and we thought we knew all there was to know about cheese.
'Who would have known that cheese could look so chic?'
All the cheese frocks will be on display at the Royal Bath and West Show, at Shepton Mallet, Somerset, from tomorrow until Saturday.
