But instead of taking the 31-year-old Welsh beauty to a surf store to peruse bikinis, Hasselhoff, 58, took Hayley Roberts to Agent Provocateur on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles.
Hayley was spotted looking at a skimpy red one-piece, reminiscent of Pamela Anderson's Baywatch uniform - but even more provocative.
As well as boasting a plunging neckline, the swimsuit had cut away sides at the waist and a sparkling belt.
She then picked up the store’s black Lyssandra swimsuit, priced at £245 and is described as a ‘70s style swimsuit with sultry sheer microfibre wrapping around the neck and plunging down the torso’.
David held Hayley’s hand and stood by her side to help the petite part-time model find the perfect beach outfit.
The couple then detoured over to the lingerie section to check out the store's latest selection of bras and knickers.
Hayley, from Glynneath in Swansea, then strolled out of the shop in her beige thigh-high shorts, sheer baggy jumper and matching peep-toe ankle boots, alongside her boyfriend in a denim shirt and jeans.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge flew Hayley down to California earlier in the week to party at Coachella Music Festival before heading to Las Vegas to continue their romantic holiday.
They then flew to Los Angeles to spend some more time in Hasselhoff’s home country before he is due back in the UK to continue his judging commitments on the ITV talent show.
The Hoff has been seeing Roberts for three months after meeting her in Cardiff Bay while filming the BGT auditions, and is now a regular visitor to Swansea.
He’s already been joking that he struggles to understand the Pamela Anderson lookalike’s strong Welsh accent, though.
The actor said: ‘I’m big on romance. I wooed her, I was a gentleman.
‘I went to see her in Wales. It’s been really nice because I’ve got the chance to see a bit of the countryside, a bit of Wales and it’s been a terrific time. Wales is nice.
‘We have long conversations because she’s from Wales and I can’t understand her.’
The twice-married former Knight Rider legend continued: ‘I like her very much, the whole thing is quite fresh.
‘In the future maybe I will be married again. I definitely want to be in a solid relationship. I don’t want to spend my time with a lot of women.
'I appreciate a solid partner by my side, with which I can spend the rest of my life.’
